Please read these terms carefully before submitting an enquiry or confirming a booking with Ghost Protect. By proceeding with a booking, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions.
Ghost Protect is a trading name of Auto Secure Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. We provide mobile installation of the Autowatch Ghost Immobiliser and related vehicle security products to customers across the UK mainland.

In these terms and conditions, the following definitions apply:
We offer mobile installation of the Autowatch Ghost II CAN-bus immobiliser and optional Thatcham-approved GPS tracker bundles at an address of your choosing — your home, workplace, or any other agreed location within the UK mainland.
All installations are carried out by Autowatch-authorised engineers. We will confirm vehicle compatibility before any payment is taken. If your vehicle is not compatible with the Ghost Immobiliser, we will inform you promptly and no charge will apply.
We reserve the right to sub-contract installation work to other authorised engineers. Any sub-contracted engineer will hold the same Autowatch authorisation as our own team.
Submitting an enquiry form does not constitute a binding booking. A booking is only confirmed once all of the following conditions have been met:
We reserve the right to decline any booking at our reasonable discretion.
Prior to dispatching an engineer to carry out your installation, a pre-authorisation hold of £120 + VAT (£144 total) will be placed on your payment card. This is a temporary hold and is not an immediate charge — no funds will be debited from your account at this stage.
The purpose of this pre-authorisation is to confirm that a valid payment method is available ahead of the appointment. The hold will be released once your installation has been completed and final payment has been processed. If the installation does not proceed for any reason that is not the fault of the customer, the pre-authorisation will be released in full.
Pre-authorisation holds typically appear on your bank statement for 2–7 business days before being released, depending on your bank or card provider. If you have any concerns, please contact us before your appointment.
All prices are quoted in pounds sterling and include VAT at the prevailing rate unless otherwise stated. The price confirmed at the time of booking is fixed and will not be altered unless you subsequently change the scope of work (for example, by upgrading to include a GPS tracker).
Full payment is due on completion of the installation, once the work has been carried out to your satisfaction. We accept major debit and credit cards and bank transfer.
Where a Payment Assist finance arrangement has been agreed, the terms and conditions of Payment Assist Ltd apply to that agreement. Your first instalment will be collected on the day of installation; the remaining instalments will follow by direct debit on a monthly basis.
Invoices outstanding beyond 7 days may be passed to a third-party debt collection service. Overdue amounts may be subject to interest at a daily rate.
Appointments are allocated on a full-day basis. On the day of your installation, your assigned engineer will endeavour to provide you with an estimated arrival time window. This is given as a courtesy and, whilst we make every effort to honour it, it does not form part of the contractual agreement.
You must ensure the vehicle is accessible and available at the agreed address for the duration of the installation (typically around 2 hours). If the vehicle is unavailable upon the engineer's arrival through no fault of ours, a call-out fee may apply.
You confirm that you are the registered keeper of the vehicle, or that you have obtained the registered keeper's written permission for the Device to be installed.
The Ghost Immobiliser is connected to your vehicle's CAN-bus data network. No wiring is cut and no permanent modifications are made. The installation is fully reversible. Before leaving your premises, our engineer will walk you through your PIN sequence, demonstrate valet mode, and ensure you are comfortable operating the system. An official Autowatch installation certificate will be issued to you on the day.
To cancel or reschedule your appointment, please contact us by email or telephone as early as possible.
As a customer, you agree to the following:
You are solely responsible for memorising and safeguarding your PIN sequence. We will provide full PIN recovery guidance at the time of installation, and your PIN is linked to your secure customer account for recovery purposes.
Auto Secure Ltd accepts no liability for any loss of access to your vehicle resulting from a forgotten or lost PIN where the recovery procedure provided at installation has not been followed.
You must not disclose your PIN sequence to unauthorised persons. You are responsible for the security of your PIN at all times.
The Autowatch Ghost Immobiliser carries a 2-year manufacturer's warranty from the Installation Date, issued by Autowatch Ltd. Full details are provided in your installation certificate. Our installation workmanship is separately guaranteed for 12 months from the Installation Date.
Warranty claims will not apply where damage or failure has been caused by misuse, accidental damage, unauthorised modification, physical damage, or failure to follow the operating instructions provided.
Customers may purchase an optional Extended Warranty at the time of installation or at any point whilst the device remains within its original manufacturer's warranty period.
The Extended Warranty is provided by Auto Secure Ltd and is separate from the manufacturer's warranty issued by Autowatch Ltd.
The Extended Warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship arising under normal use. Where a valid claim is accepted, Auto Secure Ltd will, at its discretion, repair the Device, replace it with an equivalent unit, or issue a refund up to the original retail value of the Device.
Our total liability under the Extended Warranty shall not exceed the original retail price of the Device.
To make a claim under the Extended Warranty, you must provide:
A pre-authorisation hold of £120 + VAT will be required before an engineer is dispatched in connection with a warranty claim. This hold will be released in full if the fault is confirmed as covered under the warranty. If the fault is found to fall outside the scope of the warranty, a call-out and diagnostic charge may apply.
Warranty services are available to customers located on the UK mainland only.
The Extended Warranty does not cover:
The Extended Warranty is linked to the original vehicle and the original purchasing customer. It cannot be transferred to a new vehicle or a new owner. If you sell the vehicle, the Extended Warranty terminates on the date of transfer. A pro-rata refund of the unused portion may be available upon request, subject to an administration fee of £10.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Auto Secure Ltd's total liability to you in connection with our services shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the relevant installation or service.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable UK law.
Any liability for damage to your vehicle during installation is limited to £140 + VAT.
Neither party shall be in breach of these terms or liable for any delay or failure to perform their obligations if that delay or failure results from events or circumstances beyond their reasonable control. This includes, but is not limited to, acts of God, extreme weather, pandemic or epidemic, government restrictions, supply chain disruption, or industrial action. The affected party shall notify the other as soon as reasonably practicable.
All content on our website — including text, images, logos, and code — is owned by or licensed to Auto Secure Ltd. You may not reproduce, distribute, or republish any part of it without our prior written consent.
The Autowatch Ghost, Autowatch, and associated trademarks are the property of Autowatch Ltd. Auto Secure Ltd is an authorised installer and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Autowatch Ltd beyond that authorisation.
Auto Secure Ltd processes your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), and the Data Protection Act 2018. Your data may be shared with Autowatch Ltd for the purposes of warranty registration and certification. By proceeding with a booking, you confirm that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy.
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be published at this address. Where a change would materially reduce the scope of any warranty or coverage, we will provide at least 30 days' written notice. You may reject any such change and request a pro-rata refund for any unexpired warranty period.

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or relating to these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
